Ghana Diaspora fund (GDF) has officially been launched on Saturday, 31st January 2015 in Paris. With this launching, GDF is officially opened to all Ghanaians as members, so Ghana Diasporas are requested to access their membership by registering on www.ghanadf.com in order to also enjoy the benefits GDF has to offer.

The launching brought the members of the organization from Germany, UK and Holland to join their counterparts in France in a grand ceremony of its kind.

Present were many elders from within the Ghanaian community in France, the Christian leaders and friends of Ghana. The Ghanaian-Franco youth supported the launching with a superb Modeling show and also made sure that all present at the ceremony were well served.

The Board members put up a superb and detailed presentation to explain what GDF stands for and its aspirations. GDF is going to act as a platform to connect the financial, intellectual and human capital of Ghanaians in the Diaspora and channel them into strategic philanthropic and social investment to fill in the development gap of the country of origin, Ghana. GDF wants to justify that there is a lot that can be derived from migration and development concept, and GDF will act as the tool through which all of its strategic plans will be achieved.

Nana Opuni Duah Ware I, the chairman of the launching, donated 2000€ as seed money for the board to kick-start the fund. The Ghanaians demonstrated their love for motherland Ghana through their generous financial donations.

The Guest of Honour for the night was the Ex-boxer Enoch Effah who narrated a touching story about his Ghanaian origin around which his boxing career success stories have always evolved. He also offered his management center for GDF to use for any of its educational conferences anytime they hold a conference in France.

The launching was covered by Rejoice TV, GhanaInFrance.com and the Ghana International Radio Network..
