With Workers of the British Broadcasting Corporation

Hon. Osei Mensah Michael(middle) with Workers of the British Broadcasting Corporation Ex Colleagues of Late Komla Dumor

May Day 2015 Speech.
May Day is here again. 2015 Edition.
It is obvious that the bulk of people who leave their countries to go and live abroad, go in search of greener pastures.
When you say greener pastures, you mean better job opportunities for better lives.
Diasporans represent a remarkable category of workers accross the planet.
At this period when the Ghana Government is opening up hopes for the Ghanaian Diaspora through the Diasporan Engagement Policy, Diasporan Affairs Bureau, Diasporan Desk in all Embassies, Federating Diasporans etc., it is essential to also connect the diaspora to May Day and it’s derivations. There, is the roots of our cause and move.
It is time our home and host countries come together to create alliances in the interest of our working benefits which are naturally crowned by our pension schemes.
It is also very important to aknowledge this May Day that after 58 years of independence, Ghana is being ravaged by Dumsor(Load Shedding) which is killing vital job opportunities and employment in the country. Diasporans, Government, citizens and all, let us find a lasting solution to this incredible situation. May God help us to erase it before May Day 2016.
Diasporans are dedicated workers. We count in dignity and tenure of employment. We deserve a Regard on May Day. I want to encourage you all wherever you find yourselves. Work hard for yourselves, work hard for the generations to come, work hard in your host countries and above all, work hard for Ghana.
May Day,2015, let us work towards a progressive paradigm shift in the administrative concerns of our employments in this Global World that the World has become.

I salute all workers and their families today. I salute the Ghanaian Community in France Council(GHACIF). I salute the Federation of Ghanaian Diaspora in Europe(FEGHADE). I wish you all the very best of this May Day 2015.

God Bless You For Your Attention
Hon. Osei Mensah Michael
FEGHADE/GHACIF President.
