The French Embassy supports efforts made by Government of Ghana towards more accountability, transparency and public debates. The Embassy in collaboration with GIMPA, ILGS and the Social Audit Unit of the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development funded a 3-day training for members of Social Audit Committees and the concerned District Coordinating Directors. The programme, held in Cape Coast, was meant to equip proactive youths in 10 districts to become spokespersons in their communities, and aimed at strengthening the accountability of Ghana’s central and local government.
