Deputy Captain of the Ghana Black Stars Andre Dede Morgan Remi Ayew has promised to work harder in other to achieve more laurels.

“I am a very proud person today to be honoured with these important awards – Sports Personality of the Year, and the Footballer of the Year. I have won the Footballer of the Year before, but this is my first time of winning the SWAG Sports Personality of the Year so it means I’m still working,” he added.

According to the former Olympique Marseille stalwart it took character, dedication and self confidence for the Black Stars to qualify for the 2017 African Cup of Nations to be staged in Gabon.

“I have to congratulate all the players who took part in our journey to Gabon because this is the most difficult qualifies that I have participated since I joined the Black Stars,” Andre Ayew said.
