The late JB Danquah

The Founder and Leader of Hezekiah Apostolic Ministry, Pastor Kwabena Owusu Adjei, in an article1 as reported on www.ghanaweb.com, brought to the limelight that the demise of former Abuakwa North MP, late JB Danquah was apparently murdered in cold blood in order for President-elect Nana Akuffo-Addo to win the 2016 presidential election. This assertion came out through a revelation, says Pastor Owusu Adjei. I believe vehemently that there should be the need to investigate the veracity of this revelation. Hence, it is my intention to bring to the public domain the necessity to distinguish between true revelations and visions and imaginations from false ones.

First and foremost, it is important to state emphatically that everything that is false originates from Satan and he sows seeds of confusion to distort the Truth. The Bible is always clear about any prophetic word that comes from God, and hence, there should be an aproach to Christian apologetics in investigating any prophetic message that proceeds from men of God.

President-elect Nana Akuffo-Addo swearing-in ceremony 7th January 2017

1 Peter 3:14-16 says : “ But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness [though it is not certain that you will], you are still blessed [happy, to be admired and favored by God]. Do not be afraid of their intimidating threats, nor be troubled or disturbed [by their opposition]. But in your hearts set Christ apart [as holy—acknowledging Him, giving Him first place in your lives] as Lord. Always be ready to give a [logical] defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope and confident assurance [elicited by faith] that is within you, yet [do it] with gentleness and respect. And see to it that your conscience is entirely clear, so that every time you are slandered or falsely accused, those who attack or disparage your good behavior in Christ will be shamed.”

I would like to hastly add that I am not in any way assuming the position of a judge to pass a verdict on Pastor Owusu Adjei’s revelation but rather to defend the Gospel with truth and clear conscience.

The assailants went straight to the MP’s bedroom aided by a ladder and after struggling with him for a few minutes, they overpowered and stabbed him.

Again, the Bible declares according to 1Corinthians 14 : 33 “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints”. If God is not the author of confusion, then this revelation from Pastor Kwabena Owusu Adjei could create enmity between certain members of the country and discredit the image of the elected president Nana Addo. Ghanaians both in the diaspora and home were envelopped with great fear and agony during the presidential election and praying to God to eschew all possible political violence and tension. Indeed, God did answer with a peaceful outcome of the elections.

Another point worth highlighting is that, God forbids any form of human ritual or sacrifice. I am sure God would not have listened to the prayers, if Nana Addo had stained his hands with blood. As a result, a ritual murder for Akufo-Addo’s victory could be an abomination to God because the Bible declares in Isaiah 1 :13-15 Amplified Bible (AMP)

“I hate [the hypocrisy of] your New Moon festivals and your appointed feasts. They have become a burden to Me; I am weary of bearing them. So when you spread out your hands [in prayer, pleading for My help], I will hide My eyes from you; Yes, even though you offer many prayers, I will not be listening. Your hands are full of blood!”

In addition, the Bible encourages that one should verify all things. “ But test all things carefully [so you can recognize what is good]. Hold firmly to that which is good ” (1Thessalonians 5 :21).

“Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.” (2 Corinthians11 :14)

Bishop Joejo Dadzie

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, BUT TEST THE SPIRITS, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.” (1 John 4:1-4)

In conclusion, there is the need to investigate every revelation and prophecy with wisdom based upon the unadulterated word of God. The supposed death of the JB Danquah in order to make way for President elect Nana Akuffo-Addo as purported by Pastor Kwabena Owusu Adjei is not from God but human imagination influenced by preference. The claim is a personal and preferential revelation.

I exhort all men of God to pray for the success of  the newly elected President, our success depends upon his success, God bless Ghana, God Bless President Nana A kuffo-Addo and God bless you who read this article.
