What is Ghana Diaspora Homecoming Summit?

The Ghana Diaspora Homecoming Summit is a conference organized by the government to establish relationships with the diaspora community.  The summit aims to harness capital for development purposes by encouraging Ghanaians abroad to invest in Ghana.

The platform creates continuous dialogue and opportunity for the Ghanaian community abroad, to interact with their country in a productive and mutually beneficial way to harness Ghana’s resource potential for accelerated development.

Who organizes Ghana Diaspora Homecoming Summit?

The Ghana Diaspora Homecoming Summit is a Committee put together by the Government of Ghana with the sole mandate of planning and executing a Summit for all Ghanaians Living Abroad. The membership of the Committee consists of professionals and academics of Ghanaian decent living abroad, drawn from different parts of the globe and committed to returning home to help with the political and socio-economic development of Ghana. Membership also includes representatives from the Diaspora Relation Office, Ghana Investment Promotion Council, Ministry of Business Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Summit is being organised in collaboration with The Diaspora Relations Office, Ghana Investment Promotion Council, Ministry of Business Development and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Who is a Ghanaian Diaspora?

Members of the Ghanaian Diaspora include Ghanaian citizens or nationals, their immediate relatives and others with roots to or interest in the country, who are domiciled outside the borders of Ghana.
