27/04/2013 will forever remain in the records of the Ghanaian Community in France. It was the day we all joined Mr. Kwasi Owusu aka Nana Abrokyirede, ex-Ghanafohene in France and her daughter Maame Joe to perform the final funeral rites of Mrs Comfort Owusu (wife of Nana Aburokyirede and mother of Maame Joe) who passed away early this year 2013. Many called her auntie Aburokyirede.

It was an opportunity for Ghanaians to show gratitudes through sympathy to the unsurpassed ex-chief and his family.

Nana Charles Ansah Ghanafohene Abediakyire and Ghanafohemaa Adjoakour led the entire Ghanaian traditional leaders group to the funeral grounds at Saint-Denis La Briche near Paris.

The President of the Federation of Ghanaian Associations in France, Mr. Koffi Sertodji and his executives, GHACIF President, Hon. Osei Mensah Michael, author of « A call For a Ministry of Ghanaians in Foreign Lands with Two Parliamentary Seats From Each Continent » and the President of Sankofa Association of Toulouse Mr. Alfred Ohene Akonor also came to pay their homage.

The Ghanaian Clergy in France, Associations, Churches and people from all walks of life were present.

Nana Aburokyirede, Maame Joe and their entire family hereby express gratitudes to all. Your presence and sympathy made the ceremony unique.
