In an interview with Kojo Yankson of the Joy FM Super Morning Show, H.E. François Pujolas the French ambassador to Ghana emphasized the growing partnerships between the Ghanaian economy and French companies. There are currently 50 French companies based in Ghana, with trade and investments reaching an impressive level. The stock of French investment in Ghana has reached 1.5 billion euros.
The Ghana-France partnership however extends beyond economic ties. The ambassador highlighted how France supports Ghanaian efforts towards the advancement of the teaching and learning of French in Ghana through funding and pedagogical support. According to him, the success of this endeavor would help facilitate regional integration between Ghana and the rest of the West African countries, the majority of which are francophone.
