Ghanainfrance.com wish to inform the Ghanaian Community in France that, the ”Federation of Ghanaian Diaspora in Europe, FEGHADE” which was the major outcome of the meeting on Ghana’s diaspora Engagement Policy organised in Brussels by Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union’s miEUx and the ICMPD last October, has voted Hon. Osei Mensah Michael into the office of Interim Chairman. He has accepted and assumed office since 23/12/2014.

The newly elected FEGHADE Chairman who is the author of ”A Call For A Ministry of Ghanaians in Foreign Lands With Two Subsidiary Parliamentary Seats From Each Continent” has told ghanainfrance.com that his Diasporan home is France and for that matter, with the help of God, he will uplift the image of Ghanaians in France accross his performance.
FEGHADE’s vocation is to organise all Ghanaians in Europe for Ghana and it’s Diasporas enhancement. The executive members
are from all countries in Europe.

Below is his speech of acceptance.

Hon. Osei Mensah

Hon. Osei Mensah

My dear Colleagues,

you’ve made me speechless today.

I first of all want to thank God for this wonderful idea of FEGHADE.
I see it as the beginning of a beautiful sentence being constructed for Ghanaians in the diaspora and Ghanaians at large.

With time, this sentence which has begun in Europe will need adjectives from the other four continents to express and propose our formal love to our homeland Ghana. With this swift beginning, I am convinced Ama Ghana will overwhelmly smile and accept our proposal in confidence.

I want to thank you all for the confidence you have manifested in me across your vote. I do accept the call to duty.

Let it be known to all. I am ready for the job. I am very proud and happy to have you all as members of this pioneer team.

I am also happy that we are beginning with the blessings of Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign affairs, European Union’s MiEUx and the ICMPD.

We all understood Mr. Kwaku Boamah Acheampong’s resignation. I want you all to join me to say thank you to him for beginning the job in Brussels and also being honest when he realised that his existing responsiblities may prevent him from giving the required attention to FEGHADE at this time.

Also, l believe we all appreciate the courage of Professor Emmanuel Boon of Brussels University in Belgium who is now my runner-up. Since the inception of FEGHADE, he has been critical in steering us to this point. I welcome the proposal to appoint him as Senior Advisor and I believe he will still be wonderful in performance.

Very quickly, I will do consultations and propose an interim executive committee for your approval.

For now, I am requesting prayers from the believers amongst us to ask God to see us through and bring success to this exceptional Ghanaian Diaspora Organization.

Long live FEGHADE
and God bless us all
Osei Mensah Michael
Interim FEGHADE Chairman.
