An unknown group of people have carried out coordinated deadly terror attacks with an estimated more than 128 people dead and more than 250 people injured in multiple attacks (estimated 7 places) in Paris, as at the time of reporting. These attacks took place at very populated areas of the French capital. Three people were killed near the Stade de France where France was playing a friendly football with Germany.  A hostage rescue scenario ended with over 80 people (estimated)  reported dead at the Bataclan, which was full to capacity.

President Hollande has declared a state of emergency, deploying the army over the French territory, as well as the closure of all the borders of France.

Citizens especially those in the Paris region have been advised to stay indoors. An emergency number has been setup (08 00 40 60 05).

The Embassy of Ghana stands in solidarity with the French people at such a difficult time.

The Mission is monitoring the situation and urges all Ghanaians to stay vigilant and remain indoors. All Staff of the Embassy are safe and accounted for.
