The 3rd edition of YGPS was held on Wednesday 11 November 2015 (Armistice holiday) at the Hotel Alliance Paris Porte de St Ouen from 9am to 6pm. The theme for the day “Managing Your Finances – Part II, was sequel to last year’s financial literacy programme. This year’s agenda focused on practical ways to manage personal finance as young professionals.

Items discussed included savings and investments opportunities in Africa presented by Mr Paul Mante of Ecobank Ghana (via skype) and savings and investments opportunities in France presented by three of the YGPS members working with BNP, Banque Postale and Crédit Agricole. There were workshops and an open forum to discuss various money traps, use of credit cards and different avenues for generating extra income, all led by Mr Loïc Dorgeret of Victory Consulting, Paris.

The second part of the business retreat was themed “Dress like a pro”. The dress code for ladies “work with style” was presented for discussion by Ms Elaine Lawson, a fashion blogger. The sartorial values for men were also presented by Mr Prince Ofori-Atta of Africa Report.

Needless to say here that the meeting was a great success!
