There are numerous reasons why we need a Community Centre.. We think especially of the chairman for the occasion, Mr, SANANDAJI Bakhtiar, Business Executive and the Vice-chairman, Mr, MARHZOUM Nacer, Building Promoter. To the supporters, in the persons of the Queenmother of Asanteman Association, Mrs. Akosua Agyapomaa, owner of Asafo Market and sister Mansa, also owner of Adom Market all of Paris, we say a big thank you. The members of staff of the Ghana Embassy were proud contributors which is an ample proof of a well defined project. It's also an endorsement to the project because the diplomats will not contribute should they find the project suspicious. We can now from this stage engage ourselves on a higher front. We treated the crowd to Ghanaian cultural dancing with a special presence in the person of Meiway with the Nzema Association dancers whose music sent waves of uncontrolable vibrations that took everboby off their seats.
Prior to that, Maame Serwah, a London -based Ghanaian Gospel singer entertained the gathering with two sensational tunes to the delight of all. The Ghanaian Community cannot express the joy and enthusiasm that engulfed the night. The message of commitment is now on the minds of the few who generously exhibited their charitable instincts in this first time Fund Raising.
We shall forever remain proud. The Heads of Member Associatons of FEDGHAF cannot go unmentioned . Dressed in their full regalia in a cultural atmosphere, they matched it with unbelievable donations. We are grateful to our Nananom ( Heads of Associations).
Brussel Airlines is solidly behind the project and its fantastic Raffle Prizes of 2 Return air tickets to Accra and to any other African country is a proof of their support. They've gone much further to sign a contrat with FEDGHAF which essentially reduces airline tickets bought on FEDGHAF'S website. What an achievement. This is something no Associations has been able to realise. A new era has dawned on Ghanaians but yet to exploit the full potential inherent in it. Only time will tell.
